I'm M. D. Pitman, and I've been a journalist in Southwest Ohio since 1999, covering various topics and beats, including local and state government, community news, local, state, and federal elections (for at least one year) sports.
I live in Southwest Ohio with my family, and I'm active in my church community.
I am a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and have won multiple Ohio Associated Press awards. In 2017, I was awarded the 2017 Distinguished Communicator of the Year by the Salesian Guild of Catholic Communicators of Greater Cincinnati.
I earned a bachelor's degree from the College of Mount St. Joseph and a master's degree from Xavier University.
I've started writing creatively in 2011, but didn't have anything published until my time with a writers' community in Facebook. I've been published in a couple anthologies, including multiple versions of Ironology (look for it on Amazon), Spectrum: A Colorful Collection of SmartyPants' Best, and Baby Shoes: 100 Stories by 100 Authors.
